One thing participants are probably not thinking about, however, is the value of the properties in the areas they\u2019re running in.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>We thought we would investigate a little further, detailing the cost of the areas along the route, from the more affordable areas to the most expensive mile.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Woolwich <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Woolwich is situated right at the beginning of the marathon starting point. It also happens to be one of the cheaper stretches along the route, with average prices costing \u00a3269,000 for flats and \u00a3350,000 for houses. We don\u2019t imagine it will stay that way for long, especially with the introduction of developments such as Royal Arsenal Heights, a brand new residential development with a concierge and residents\u2019 gym. This two bedroom apartment is on the rental market for \u00a3500 per week and benefits from direct river views. Renting in the area is also on the increase, \u00a0especially with professionals working in Canary Wharf and the City who want a quiet place to relax at the weekends. With a tube station on the Jubilee Line, residents can be in the heart of the West End in just over 10 minutes or in Canary Wharf in five minutes. As well as lots of famous attractions such as The Mall and \u00a0\u00a0St James\u2019s Park, you will also be able to call the Queen your neighbour. Just don\u2019t expect an invitation for afternoon tea in the near future.<\/p>\n<p>This impressive three bedroom property at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benhams.com\/new-developments\/the-courthouse-london\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Courthouse development<\/a> is on the market for \u00a31,325 per week.
