\"SpookyLettings and estate agent, Benham and Reeves, has revealed the Halloween themed road names that are far from haunting homeowners due to above average sold prices.<\/p>\n

Benham and Reeves looked at the average sold price since last Halloween across 13 haunting road names and found that on average, properties sold for 2.6% higher than the current average of \u00a3249,928 across England and Wales. <\/p>\n

The highest average sold value was found across roads with Spook in the name. In the last 12 months, homes with Spook in the road name have sold for an average of \u00a3475,000; 47% higher than the national average. <\/p>\n

Dead (\u00a3297,500) was the second most expensive Halloween street name, with sold prices coming in 16% higher than the national average over the last 12 months. <\/p>\n

Grave (\u00a3278,000) and Night (\u00a3277,500) have also proved some of the best Halloween-themed road names where house prices are concerned, both coming in 10% higher than the national average in the last year. <\/p>\n

However, at the other end of the table, October hasn\u2019t proved as popular with sold prices coming in at a frightening \u00a3125,000; -100% less than the national average. <\/p>\n

Living along street names with Trick (-45%), Blood (-12%), Broom (-6%), Hell (-6%) and Spider (-3%) in the name would also see your property\u2019s value come in at a below-average price.<\/p>\n

Director of Benham and Reeves, Marc von Grundherr, commented:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cHalloween-themed road names don\u2019t seem to spook homebuyers as much as you might think, with the majority of those we\u2019ve looked at home to an average sold price above and beyond the national average. <\/p>\n

That said, a few do come in frightfully lower and will no doubt be haunting homeowners who live there. <\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t hugely uncommon as a road name can have a significant impact on homebuyer demand but it would seem we\u2019re not that squeamish about horror-related road names, with many happy to pay above-average sums to reside on one.\u201d<\/p>\n
