The Property Power Hour: London Property Roundtable

In this lively exchange of views, our panel of property experts agreed that the London property market is a safe haven for investment and discussed how investors and landlords can take advantage of the opportunities that exist. Lots of topics for investors were discussed including Crossrail, London vs the rest of the UK, interest rate and taxes.

The panelists were all optimistic although their forecasts for the next 12 months varied slightly:

Conor Murphy: House Prices +3-4%; Rental Prices +5-6%
Chris Bailey: House Prices +4-5%; Rental Prices +4-5%
David Cox: House Prices +5%; Rental Prices +10%
Marc von Grundherr: House Prices +6%; Rental Prices +7-8%

The good news is – the consensus is prices and rents will grow – so now is definitely not the time to exit and quit London property – now is the time to expand and buy more.
