On the fifth of November, Bonfire Night, also known as Guy Fawkes or Fireworks Night, will light up the city and warm the skies with a range of firework displays. This tradition dates back to 1605 when Guy Fawkes was arrested for unsuccessfully trying to blow up the Houses of Parliament. Bonfire Night falls on a Thursday this year, so most displays will take place over the weekend, the 7th and 8th. Battersea Park will host a fireworks show choreographed to a musical soundtrack. Gates open at 6pm, with the firework display starting at 8pm. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

You’ll get to enjoy more than 7,000 performers from around the world taking to the streets with dance, acrobatics and much more. The fireworks will bring the event to a thrilling finale at 5.15pm.
