September Celebrity Moves

London is probably second to L.A when it comes to celebrity sightings.  Not only do we have our own homegrown celebrities but it also seems that Americans can’t get enough of Britain.  Between actors, musicians and even the occasional politicians, it’s hard not to spot a famous person or two in London. Here we track where some of our favourite celebrities are rumoured to be moving.

Heading in a different direction

Things between Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards really are over. The death knell was sounded when the couple put their house, Skyhall, on the market for £4.2 million in early August. Purchased by the couple just three months ago, the two had barely unpacked before announcing their split. The North London property was previously owned by a Premier League footballer and boasts five bedrooms, an orangery, paddock, dog kennels, home gym, pool and Jacuzzi plus a three bedroom guest house on the sprawling 25 acre estate.  Zayn is apparently house hunting in Los Angeles while Little Mix continue their US tour. On her return, perhaps Perrie might want to consider this charming one bedroom flat in nearby Hampstead.

The nation’s sweetheart returns to North London

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini (nee Tweedy, formerly Cole) definitely likes to call North London home. For years she lived in Friern Barnet and met her former husband Ashley Cole there when they both lived in the same apartment building. They later moved to Surrey’s stockbroker belt but now that she’s happily married to her latest husband, she’s returned to North London. She and hubby Jean-Bernard recently purchased a £4 million mansion complete with a swimming pool, Jacuzzi and home gym.  If you’re hankering after a spacious and modern property in North London, too, you could try this four bedroom house in Park Hill Mews.

It’s anything but Tinchy

Who would have ever thought flats in Clapton would ever sell for over £1million?  The area is home to the infamous “Murder Mile”, also known as Lower Clapton Road where gangland shootings were once rife.  Now the cheap takeaways and charity shops have been replaced by trendy hipster cafes and the celebrated E5 Bakery. No surprise that cool celebrities such as Beyoncé and Tinchy Stryder have used a spacious flat in the area as a backdrop for some of their videos which is now on the market for seven figures.  If your budget can’t quite stretch to millions, consider this trendy one bedroom Hoxton flat.

Speaking of cool influencers, it’s no surprise that Alexa Chung chose a stylish penthouse in Neo Bankside to launch her AG Jeans collection. Like her clothing range, the flat is reassuringly expensive at £19.75million.
