Carmen Ching joins Benham and Reeves in Shanghai

Carmen Ching has joined Benham and Reeves as its new Regional Director. Responsible for the Greater China area, her appointment is vital to the company’s ongoing expansion plans in the region as it seeks to broaden the range of property investment services available to Chinese investors in the UK and in other overseas locations.

In acknowledging the need for a strong Shanghai presence, Managing Director Anita Mehra is confident that this latest addition to the team will “Greatly enhance our ability to give investors in mainland China the best possible service in their own time-zone and language. Our Shanghai office was launched in 2017 and Carmen’s appointment will further strengthen our offering”.

Providing a seamless cross-geographical service is a vital key to success in the region which means that although Carmen will be operating out of our Shanghai office, she will work closely with our London China Desk and sales and lettings teams. Her main focus will involve property resales, ensuring that clients make the most from their investment, whether it be the long term rental of their property or selling on and re-investment.

Carmen, who is fluent in Mandarin and English, has fifteen years of experience in the international residential sector, having successfully managed numerous investment portfolios including block deals. Her wide-ranging expertise covers buying, selling and leasing.

Well-adept in residential property markets across different countries, Carmen has developed a strong and extensive client base across South-East Asia and, following her move to Shanghai in 2018, North-East Asia also.
