Dartmouth Park estate agents Benham & Reeves a well-established name in this particularly pretty North London enclave. Our team of expert sales negotiators enthusiastically promote the tranquil village-like atmosphere and handsome period architecture that make Dartmouth Park so popular with young families, corporates and professionals. With branch staff who live nearby, there is a wealth of local knowledge available as well as the expertise, essential for pointing clients in the right direction when it comes to purchasing or selling their own home or letting out a property here.

A prime location near Hampstead Heath ensures that residents enjoy leafy streets, great views and the availability of several quirky independent shops and cafés. All this supports a community that is well-connected, vibrant and proud of its heritage. We are pleased to have played a significant role in the fostering and strengthening of these bonds.

Dartmouth Park’s exclusive, yet unstuffy, community atmosphere has caught the attention of many residents who love living here. This NW5 postcode is dominated by fine examples of Victoriana from tiered family residences to conversions, cottages and impressive mansion flats. There are also new-build residential developments being built towards the northern fringes and these are extremely popular with homebuyers and renters alike.

Where do you live? I currently live in Pinner, Middlesex which is an outer suburb of North West London.

What do you like most about the properties in North West London? On the basis of their architectural variety and historical interest alone, my favourite are Hampstead properties which are almost unmatched anywhere in London. The way in which charming period properties have been integrated with newer homes gives the neighbourhood plenty of choice and a great village feel. Close proximity to Hampstead Heath while, at the same time, being only 20 minutes away from the West End is another major plus point.

Tell us a little about your property career? Having been in the North London property business for nearly 35 years, I have had the advantage of working with, and alongside, many talented and respected individuals. My early years as a sales negotiator were spent in Mill Hill until I left to join Benham & Reeves Sales under its former owners. Now with the sales and lettings businesses under one roof and the ownership of Anita Mehra, it’s good to be resuming my Associate Director position and heading up the North London sales team.

What are your passions outside work and how do you relax? Being a passionate West Ham United supporter, I endeavour to attend every home match. I enjoy Bikram hot yoga, overseas travel and working on my (admittedly shaky) golf game. My wife and I love taking long country walks and being surrounded by nature.
Where in London do you live? I was born and brought up in, Muswell Hill, North London and continue to live there.

What do you like most about the properties in Dartmouth Park? The tranquil, village-like atmosphere of Dartmouth Park gives it a strong sense of community that I find very attractive. The striking Grade II listed row of Georgian Town Houses on Grove Terrace is a perfect example of how period architecture dominates this small enclave. Victorian and Edwardian homes are well represented, too.

Tell me a little about your property career Soon after leaving university, I began working in property and twenty five years on, I still get the same buzz that first attracted me to the industry. Working for a number of respected estate agents, I covered the St John’s Wood and Hampstead areas and really got a feel for what makes North/West London such a special place. I have had the pleasure of working in the beautiful surroundings of Dartmouth Park since 2013 and have met lots of very nice, friendly homeowners whom I’ve enjoyed helping.

What are your passions outside work and how do you relax? I’ve always had a passion for sport, especially American Football. I played in my younger days and had the honour of representing Great Britain for three years. I still enjoy a 5-a-side soccer match with friends. I have travelled extensively in the past and hope to visit Australia in the near future.
What do I like the most about Dartmouth Park and Tufnell Park? Both areas have a diverse mix of types of property and people from different cultures and walks of life, there is a real sense of community. There are lots of good local amenities and connectivity into central London is very easy. Good local schools also make the areas highly popular with young families.

What is your career background and experience? I studied Law at Durham University and most of my experience has been gained working in the legal industry. I have some good transferable skills having worked on property disputes and settlement deals throughout my younger days and I have a variety of communication skills which really help me in my negotiator role now. I’m really enjoying working in the property sector, every day is different.

What are your passions outside of work & for relaxation? I enjoy trying new cuisines and as a big Man City fan, I try to never miss a game when it’s on TV. I am a big film fan, so I will often ask people what their three favourite films are. Mine are The Shawshank Redemption, The count of Monte Cristo and Layer Cake. On the weekend I often try to catch up on my favourite TV shows, it’s a good way to relax.
What is your favourite part of London? Hammersmith – it’s one of the best places in West London for live music, riverside strolls and taking in the river views from a pub terrace along the way.

What key skills do you bring to your role? My strongest attribute is my determination. I take on every challenge head-on and do what I need to accomplish my goals, even when the challenge is difficult. I enjoy communicating with people and developing my soft skills.

What are your passions outside work for relaxation? I love dancing salsa! For me, it’s a great way of keeping fit and complements a healthy lifestyle, both physically and emotionally. Benefits include keeping me in a good mood which the sales team seem to appreciate!
Where do you currently live? I live in a quiet suburb of West London.

What do you like most about the area where you work? Hampstead is such a pretty place to work.  The village is very well served by all amenities as well as artisan eateries and pubs. The architecture is mainly period and of course the Heath provides plenty of green space to unwind and enjoy.

Tell me a little about your property career & experience? Though recent to the real estate industry, my time spent working as an office administrator has allowed me to bring transferable skills to my role and Benhams. I’m organised and have good document management and IT skills and I’m also adaptable which is needed working alongside such a busy sales team.

What are your passions outside work and how do you relax? I enjoy archery every weekend and sometimes I also participate in some club competitions. It really helps me mentally whilst providing a full body workout at the same time.
