Living and renting at Beaufort Park

Tenants renting apartments in Colindale’s flagship property development, Beaufort Park, can be excused for taking a collective victory lap around the NW9 area in celebration of its continuing success. Back in 2009, when anywhere outside the innermost London districts was considered a risk, the sheer space around Colindale inspired a rare optimism. Then, when both the Metropolitan Police College and the Royal Air Force found themselves with more land than they needed, opportunity beckoned. The regeneration of these sites has subsequently allowed individuals and families priced out of Zone 1 and 2, to buy into a more affordable lifestyle and yet be at their desks in under half an hour. With Colindale Underground Station situated just a five minute walk away, the Northern Line has – and will continue to play – a major part in attracting further interest from corporate professionals to this rental hotspot.

Living at Beaufort Park

The Northern Line is a particularly versatile Tube network in that it divides itself at Camden Town, allowing it to simultaneously link Colindale with both the City and the West End. There are also stops at Hampstead, Brent Cross Shopping Centre and the Eurostar terminus at St Pancras, allowing you to picnic, shop and travel with relative ease. Young families put high value on recreational spaces and Beaufort Park is near to several municipal parks, canal paths and areas of unspoilt greenery. Copthall Sports Centre, one of the foremost indoor recreational facilities in the Capital, is just a ten minute drive away. The NW9 and NW7 postcodes share their borders with Hertfordshire, a county that contains a high proportion of the country’s top independent schools, most of which run their own bus services. There are also good state schools in nearby Mill Hill.

However, Beaufort Park is no mere dormitory district. Eight acres of landscaped gardens, together with on-site restaurants and a Tesco supermarket, all play an important role in promoting community cohesion. The neighbouring district of Mill Hill (10 minutes away on foot) has a distinctive café culture, a collection of independent shops, an M&S Food store and a Thameslink station that provides an alternative route into the City. There is also an important historical and educational connection to the area in the form of the RAF museum which is sited just around the corner. An indispensable part of the area’s heritage, the museum is also a national monument to the debt that Britain owes to its armed forces.

The development, itself, looks out over attractive tree-lined boulevards, giving the neighbourhood a distinctly continental feel. The apartments are well planned including a balcony and benefit from the same high-specification as any central London scheme. Residents also have access to spa facilities, gym, swimming pool, and a concierge service. There are also good commercial facilities on-site including a Tesco Express.
